NGOs operate in a rapidly changing and competitive world. If their organizations are to survive in this challenging environment, managers need to develop the necessary understanding and confidence to make full use of financial management tools. Good practice in financial management will: help managers to make effective and efficient use of resources to achieve objectives and fulfil commitments to stakeholders; help NGOs to be more accountable to donors and other stakeholders; gain the respect and confidence of funding agencies, partners and beneficiaries; give the NGO the advantage in competition for increasingly scarce resources; and help NGOs prepare themselves for long-term financial sustainability.
For Whom: Project Coordinators, Managers, Finance Managers, Accountants, Auditors and other accounting and finance personnel in NGOs/INGOs and partner agencies or organizations.
