The purpose of this training course program is to help ensure that government electronic records are created, maintained, disseminated and destroyed in a manner consistent with the transparency and accountability requirements of ministries, departments, agencies, institutions or organizations. While many concerns are the same as those that exist with other, more traditional forms of public records, the prevalence of digital or electronic records raises some new issues. Therefore, government records custodians must be mindful of how business, technical and legal standards apply to electronic records.
For Whom: The program is designed for participants working in archives administration or records management and participants working in related information professions.
