The purpose of this course is to provide the participants with a broad understanding of a laboratory quality management system. At the end of this course, participants will be able to: • (1) explain the importance of a quality management system; (2) list the quality management system essential elements; (3) describe the history of development of quality principles; and (4) discuss relationship of this quality model to ISO and CLSI standards.
